On Tuesday evening in Charlotte, North Carolina, 300 chimney swifts were startled out of their roost site. While flying, they collided into the NASCAR Hall of Fame building, killing over 100 and injuring hundreds more. Sadly the building didn’t have the lights out for night-time migrating birds. We are losing more and more birds daily due to HUMAN error and poor judgment.
Please donate if you can. They eat a ton and need medications. We are so thankful Carolina Waterfowl Rescue was there for them and responded despite the late hour.
